When someone goes into shock, they need to get to a doctor very quickly. Call 911 as soon as you suspect that a person is going into shock. While you wait:

Try to keep them calm and comfortable. Have them lie down if you can

Raise his feet slightly unless you think he has a head, neck, or back, hip, or leg injury

Maintain a normal body temperature

If they are unconscious lay them on their side, not the back
- Don’t give them anything to eat or drink, even if they are hungry or thirsty
